Natural sanctuaries are spread across the kingdom, and offer walking, cycling and horseback riding trails to allow you to fully appreciate the natural scenery. There are a plethora of activities to keep you busy, and plenty of places to sit back, relax and let time drift on by.

A few years ago, one of our founders met an Aussie traveller, who was intent on going from Cape to Cairo and back again in 6 months. They met in Malawi 5 months into the journey and when asked if he was on the way back down, the Aussie replied, "Yeah, I think that after 3 months in Swaziland, I reckoned we weren't going to make it all the way...so we just chilled in Swazi for another month'.

• Experience one of the many cultural tours and spend time in the rural villages.
• Shop for fantastic local craftwork at one of the many roadside markets.
• Indulge in an evening of local theatre, food, drinking and dancing at Malandellas.
