Tutu was spot on with his description of South Africa, somehow managing to evoke in those few words a sense of its incredible diversity, natural beauty and infinite intricacies. Despite our best attempts, encapsulating it here in a one page description is an injustice, and one that can only begin to be rectified by visiting the Rainbow Nation.

Within a week you could surf amongst dolphins, tour world-class wineries, spot the big 5 on safari, eat fresh seafood in a top international restaurant, take a tour of a township, have a cappuccino in a busy urban cafe, walk over snow capped mountains and play on a world class golf course. Distances are vast, but with first class infrastructure and a widespread understanding of English, travel within South Africa is very easy.

South Africa’s attractions range from very rural Africa with all of its charms, traditions, cultures, wilderness and rugged beauty to first-world urban culture with access to first class medical, educational, sporting, shopping, transport and commercial facilities.

For the first time traveller to Africa, or those perhaps not too comfortable with 'roughing it', South Africa offers a safe, comfortable, affordable and eye opening experience. It’s a country that no-one ever forgets, and is on almost everyone’s wishlist of places to go... put it on yours.
