WHEN IS IT BEST TO TRAVEL TO LESOTHO Weather is probably the main consideration for travellers when deciding the best time to go, and if you don't mind getting a little wet, it doesn't matter very much. The best time to visit is between October to March. Nearly all of Lesotho's rain falls in the summer, between October and April. It's beautiful and warm when the sun comes out, but mountain areas can be enveloped in fog and mist. In winter (June to September), there is the risk of severe snowfalls and passes and lodges can be shut off for days at a time.
