The Stellenbosch Wine Route, synonymous with a variety of high-quality, award-winning red and white wines, comprises 44 cellars which produce between them a large portion of South Africa's finest export wines.

Stellenbosch Wine Festival
This lively annual festival plays host to thousands of local and international visitors who come to chase away the winter cold with a glass of Stellenbosch's best. Each year in August visitors sample some 500 wines made by the most jovial, professional and fun-loving wine community in the world. There are wines on offer to suite every palate, as well as every pocket.

See how celebrity chefs, winemakers and journalists sweat it out in the kitchen! Laughter abound in the interesting and tongue-in-cheek wine lectures in the "Wine Tasting Theatre", presented by the Wine Magazine. There is of course great local fare on offer including cheeses, olives and traditional, hearty dishes.
