Day 1: Durban
Upon your arrival at Durban International Airport, a representative will meet and assist you to the car rental depot. Collect your Group B (Toyota Yaris Sedan or similar) rental vehicle and mobile rental phone and make your own way to Pennington and the Selborne Hotel, Spa & Golf Estate.
Check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at thw Selborne Hotel, Spa and Golf Estate
Day 2: Selborne
Morning round of 18-holes at Selborne Golf Course. Some call it the most spectacular 18 holes in Southern Africa. Wild coastal forest frames a superbly manicured course where the only disturbance may be one of natures creatures. Overnight at the Selborne Hotel, Spa and Golf Estate.
Day 3: San Lameer
Make your own way to San Lameer for a morning or afternoon round of golf on the 18-hole championship golf course designed by Peter Matkovich. Overnight at the Selborne Hotel, Spa and Golf Estate.
Day 4: Selborne Durban Golf Club Zimbali
Check-out from the hotel. Make your own way to Durban Golf Club for a morning round of 18-holes. Afterwards spend some time at leisure exploring Durban and its markets at your own pace before continuing to Zimbali Lodge. Zimbali Lodge is one of Southern Africa's most exclusive hideaways, set within the serene confines of a coastal forest reserve on the north coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal - a natural sub-tropical paradise and home to mischievous dolphins and a myriad of sea and bird life. The hotel overlooks the incredible Indian Ocean and is surrounded by lush vegetation and beautiful indigenous gardens.
Upon arrival at the hotel check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the Zimbali Lodge.
Day 5: Zimbali
Spend the morning golfing at the Zimbali Country Club. The Zimbali Country Club Golf Course is a par 72 championship course, designed by former South African PGA and British Open Champion, Tom Weiskopf. This course is both challenging and superbly beautiful, offering world-class standards. Overnight at the Zimbali Lodge.
Day 6: Zimbali Phinda
Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Make your own way north to Hluhluwe and Phinda Private Game Reserves Mountain Lodge. Phinda Private Game Reserve is situated in the lush KwaZulu-Natal region in northern South Africa. Sandwiched between Mkuze Game Reserve and the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park (a World Heritage Site), it comprises 14 000 hectares (34 000 acres) of prime conservation land. Seven distinct habitats shelter an abundance of wildlife including Africas Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo) and over 380 bird species, while the marine diversity off the nearby coast of Sodwana is said to rival the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Make your way to Phinda Mountain Lodge in time for lunch. Embark on a game drive in the late afternoon, prior to returning to the lodge for dinner. Overnight at the Phinda Mountain Lodge.
Day 7: Phinda
After an early morning wake-up call rise to an African dawn and enjoy an early morning game drive. Return to the lodge in the mid-morning for a typical South Africa breakfast.
Spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Lunch at the lodge. In the late afternoon, when the heat of the African sun has diminished and the shadows are longer, set out again on a game drive.
Return to the lodge where you are treated to the finest Pan-African cuisine with your hosts in the open air Boma (weather permitting), and share your days adventures.
Overnight at the Phinda Mountain Lodge.
Day 8: Phinda Durban
Early morning game drive (dependant on flight departure time), followed by breakfast at the lodge. Late morning check-out from Phinda Mountain Lodge.
Afterwards, make your own way to Durban Airport to return your rental vehicle and mobile phone and check in for your onward flight.
